This intermediate course guides you through the funding maze, shows you shortcuts, and what works best and why. Participants learn how to increase resources for their school, its pupils, parents and the wider community. We use examples of lottery, European and charitable trust applications to teach you:
  • How and where to apply for funds for the school
  • How to increase the success of future lottery and other grant applications

A full colour brochure for the course is available, and we've collected together some testimonials from previous participants.

  • You choose when to logon to the course website and are not restricted to days or time slots

Assessment

Certification from the Open College Network requires completion of three online worksheets and a learner diary. All assignments are submitted via the internet. Feedback is given to you in the same way, so you receive speedy and secure feedback on your learning. All assignments are designed to help you learn and apply concepts from the course to your own practice. The learner diary gives you the opportunity to demonstrate knowledge, understanding and skills you have developed during the course.

[I found] this course the best thing I have done in a long time. It is clearly presented, easy to follow and providing me with a clear path to follow when looking for funding. The course has directly led to furthering my career as I am now teaching part time and have new part time role as a school fundraiser.

Suzanne Robbins, Education Business Links Co-ordinator, Shiney Row Primary, Tyne and Wear

"The course is well structured and steps the school fundraiser through the application process. The requirement to "make your case" is as important for the independent school sector as it is for the state sector. Excellent tutor support."
