Football League seeks official charity partner for 2012/13
The Football League is inviting applications from charities to become its Official Charity Partner for the 2012/13 season.
The current partner is Help the Hospices, and previous partners have been Help for Heroes (2009/10) and Marie Curie Cancer Care (2010/11).
Charities that apply should outline how their partnership "would have a positive impact on The League's 72 member clubs, their fans and communities". Proposals should be no longer than two A4 pages, and should indicate how the charity would manage the relationship with The League and its clubs.
A shortlist of six charities will be drawn up from all those applying, and this will be submitted to The Football League Board for approval. The shortlist will then be voted on by three groups: Football League staff, Football League Clubs. and Football League fans via an online public vote. http://www.football-league.co.uk/officialcharity/helpthehospices/20110725/the-football-league-and-help-the-hospices_2300720_2401215
