£7.3 million in funding from the Department for Education

Merton Council has secured an extra £7.3 million in funding from the Department for Education to help with its school expansion plans to accommodate the 39% increase in births in the borough. 

The extra money, in addition to the original £7 million school building grant for 2012-13, brings the total extra government funding for school building to £14.3 million. Catchment Restoration Fund for England - A £28m fund

The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) has created the Catchment Restoration Fund.

The fund will support work that aims to:restore more natural features in and around waters;reduce the impact of man-made structures on wildlife in waters; or reduce the impact of small, spread-out (diffuse) sources of pollution that arise from rural and urban land use. http://www.environment-agency.gov.uk/research/planning/136182.aspx
