Fundraising Skills Launch new Sports Funding Advisers Award
Based on the success of the Certificate in Sports Funding, a new Level 4, 8 week course for SDO’s will start in October 2010. The The Sports Funding Advisers Award will enable sports development stff to
• Improve the quality of funding advice provided to Clubs
• Diagnose and respond to a Club’s priority areas for development
• Understand how to support Clubs with project proposals

Small Grants for all UK Sports Clubs
The Wells Sports Foundation, a unique sporting charity created and funded by Barrie Wells, is offering grants of between £500 and £2,000 to sports clubs to support sustainable grassroots projects.

Funding Boost for Sports Clubs
Sport England and JustGiving announced a campaign to bring an extra £22 million into grassroots sport over the next five years through a new partnership called JustGiving for Sports Clubs. JustGiving for Sports Clubs will help sports club members to raise more money, and claim Gift Aid, using the same award-winning tools as the biggest charities in the UK. JustGiving have dropped their subscription fees – worth £180 per year for every Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) - so clubs can sign up today.

Sports Development Officers Course Launching Sept 2010
A new Level 4 accredited course aimed at sports graduates and SDO's will improve funding advice offered to Clubs in the UK. Based on the successful Certificate in Sports Funding, the new course will focus on quality funding advice and give recognition to the funding advice role in the sports industry.
