Student Feedback - School Fundraising Course
Having just completed the above course I just wanted to say separately
how supportive I've found my tutor, David Poppit. His comments have been extremely
helpful and it's been really good to get so much in-depth response from
him. I've done many on-line courses over the last 10 years but this
course has definitely been the best in terms of tutor support and I've really
appreciated that. - J Marchant, School Business Manager

Student Feedback on the Certificate in School Fundraising & Income Generation
'This is the first time I have undertaken an online course, and I have been very impressed with all aspects. I have found it suits me more than ‘classes’ as I can look at materials at my own pace' A Denner, Business Administrator, Honiton Learning Community.

The Giving Machine - School Fundraising
One of the easiest, cheapest, most sustainable ways to raise money:
Free cash donations for your school. Over 360 participating online shops pay TheGivingMachine a sales commission for directing shoppers to them. We forward these commissions as free cash donations to the shopper’s chosen school. All you have to do is tell your school’s parents, most of whom will already be shopping online, to ‘shop and give’ for free at www.TheGivingMachine.co.uk

The Education Endowment Fund (EEF) is now open to applications.
The EEF is seeking applications for projects that address educational disadvantage. They are particularly looking for projects which can be developed, scaled up and replicated and which will have a measurable impact on attainment. In the first two years funding will be focused on children eligible for free school meals attending primary and secondary schools targeted for EEF funding. The smallest grant is likely to be around £50,000 per year. Projects should reach 100 pupils and preferably a number of schools.

Full Time Education Bursary Scheme Allocations Announced (England)
The Young People’s Learning Agency (YPLA) has started notifying schools and colleges of the allocations they will receive under the new £180 million 16-19 bursary scheme. The scheme will help 16- to 19-year-olds continue in full-time education, where they might otherwise struggle for financial reasons.
