The Social Action Fund

£1.3 million from The Social Action Fund has been awarded to enable the creation of a new not for profit organisnation.We're Altogether Better is a social action not-for-profit, brought to you by the team behind the award winning charity beatbullying.Following an initial grant from the Transition Fund in Spring 2011, this latest investment enables the organisation to publicly launch and expand its online mentoring and advice services. It will also create a major new offering to families, and a programme to support young people with mental health issues, for launch in 2012-13.

Fundraising Consultant Feedback on Course

It was good to hear from others about their experiences and ideas. The tutors feedback from the assignments submitted was good. The website was easy to navigate with good information.Highlight of the course was the Lottery exercise as I apply to the Lottery quite a bit. Community Sustainable Energy Programme Opens for a Final Round

The Big Lottery funded scheme is accepting applications for heat generating technologies and energy efficiency measures only.  Not-for-profit organisations in England can apply for capital grants of up to 50% of the project cost to a maximum grant of £50,000.  Organisations that may apply include voluntary groups, charities, schools, parish councils and faith groups meeting certain conditions. http://www.communitysustainable.org.uk/index.jsp
